Joining

Are you interested in joining Lodge of Honour 526? Becoming a member offers you the chance to be part of a supportive and dynamic community dedicated to personal growth, friendship, and charitable service.

Becoming a Mason

Becoming a Mason opens the door to a social and fraternal network that spans the globe. There are Masonic lodges almost everywhere around the world, and once you are a member of one lodge, you will quickly discover a wide array of events and interests shared among members. These include Masonic sports groups (fishing, football, golf, shooting, etc.), charitable and community support activities, and special interest groups (entertainers’ clubs, Sci-Fi fans, CAMRA members, etc.). Indeed, there is a whole range of activities for those who have the time to get involved.

The First Steps

The first step to becoming a Mason is to contact a lodge and request more information. Lodge of Honour has a membership officer who will get in touch, discuss your interest, and answer any questions you may have. Following that, you would be invited to a face-to-face chat. If you are interested and wish to join, a joining meeting will be scheduled.

Masonic Membership

Freemasonry is open to anyone over 18 years of age. However, there are separate organisations for men and women, and Lodge of Honour 526 is a club for men. If you are a lady interested in Freemasonry, please click the button below.

Good to Know

There is only one absolute “redline” that would prevent someone from joining, and that is the need to believe in some form of Supreme Being. It should be stressed that Masonry is NOT a religious organisation or faith, but since we make various commitments and pledges as part of the joining ceremonies, it is important that candidates have some form of faith which they are prepared to swear by and which serves as a moral compass they wish to live up to. If you do not believe in some form of divine creator, Masonry is probably not for you.
